My Story - Davy

Drywall has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents worked in the trade for over 20 years, and at age 13, while other kids spent summers playing, I was learning the basics—mixing joint compound, patching around pipes, and mastering knife control. Over the next five years I learned every aspect of drywall: hanging, finishing, and texturing. I didn’t always enjoy the long days, but I did take pride in doing things right.

At 18, I earned my Drywall License and my parents came to work for me. We focused solely on new construction and built a strong team. But in 1996, when construction in our area collapsed, I lost the business. That same year my son was born, and I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ—both life-changing moments that shaped my future.

For the next several years, I pursued other business ventures while still doing drywall on the side. I even purchased an RV dealership in 2000, later selling it and working as a sales manager. In 2004, I followed God’s call and became an ordained minister, serving as both youth pastor and eventually senior pastor.

Eventually, I returned to what I knew best and founded DS Drywall Patch & Repair. Unlike my first company, we focus on the jobs most crews pass over—small repairs, leak damage, patches, and home additions. We pride ourselves on quality over quantity. As the owner, I want the job done right the first time, and my team shares that same commitment.

We operate as a “rolling warehouse,” fully equipped with everything needed—from tools and materials to our own power and water—so we can complete any drywall job efficiently and professionally. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we treat every home with respect and care.
